Consumer:

Using zidovudine together with amphotericin B lipid complex may lead to increased side effects. Contact your doctor if you experience fever, chills, body aches, flu symptoms, pale skin, easy bruising or bleeding, unusual weakness, urinating more or less than usual, muscle pain or weakness, fast or uneven heart rate, feeling light-headed, or fainting. If your doctor does prescribe these medications together, you may need a dose adjustment or special test to safely use both medications. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.

Professional:

MONITOR: Concomitant administration of zidovudine and amphotericin B lipid complex has increased myelotoxicity and nephrotoxicity in animals. Theoretically, this interaction might occur with other amphotericin B drugs.

MANAGEMENT: If these drugs are used together, the patient's renal and hematologic function should be closely monitored.
