Check result:

Relevance: 01.11.2023 Reviewer: Shkutko P.M., M.D., in

In the database of official manuals used in the service creation an interaction registered by statistical results of studies was found, which can either lead to negative consequences for the patient health or strengthen a mutual positive effect. A doctor should be consulted to address the issue of joint drug administration.

Consumer:

Abemaciclib may reduce the effectiveness of tbo-filgrastim when used simultaneously. Abemaciclib should generally be withheld until 48 hours after the last dose of tbo-filgrastim and your blood cell count has recovered to a sufficient level determined by your doctor. Subsequently, you may need a dosage adjustment of abemaciclib if and when you resume treatment. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.

Professional:

ADJUST DOSING INTERVAL: The safety and efficacy of hematopoietic growth factors such as colony-stimulating factors (G-CSF and GM-CSF) and stem cell factors (SCF) given simultaneously with cancer chemotherapy have not been established. Theoretical concerns exist regarding their concomitant administration because hematopoietic growth factors stimulate myeloid cell proliferation while antineoplastic agents primarily target rapidly dividing cells.

MANAGEMENT: When hematopoietic growth factors are required, abemaciclib should be suspended for at least 48 hours after the last dose of the growth factor and until hematologic toxicity resolves to grade 2 or below. Resume abemaciclib treatment at the next lower dosage in accordance with the product labeling (unless reduction has already occurred for the toxicity that led to use of the growth factor).
