The use of alvimopan is discouraged if you have received benzhydrocodone for more than 7 consecutive days immediately prior to alvimopanadministration. Caution is advised if you have received more than 3 doses of benzhydrocodone within the week prior to surgery. You may need a dose adjustment or special test to safely use both medications.
