Afrin Sinus and Fetzima Titration Pack
Determining the interaction of Afrin Sinus and Fetzima Titration Pack and the possibility of their joint administration.
In the database of official manuals used in the service creation an interaction registered by statistical results of studies was found, which can either lead to negative consequences for the patient health or strengthen a mutual positive effect. A doctor should be consulted to address the issue of joint drug administration.
Consumer:Both levomilnacipran and oxymetazoline nasal can increase blood pressure and heart rate, and combining them may enhance these effects. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns, particularly if you have a history of high blood pressure, irregular heart rhythm, or heart disease. Your doctor may be able to prescribe alternatives that do not interact, or you may need a dose adjustment or more frequent monitoring to safely use both medications. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
Professional:MONITOR: Additive or synergistic effects on blood pressure and heart rate may occur when serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs) are combined with sympathomimetic agents such as nasal decongestants, adrenergic bronchodilators, ophthalmic vasoconstrictors, and systemic vasopressors. The use of SNRIs alone has been associated with sustained increases in blood pressure and heart rate, and cases of elevated blood pressure requiring immediate treatment have been reported in postmarketing experience.
MANAGEMENT: Caution is advised if SNRIs are used with other drugs that can increase blood pressure and/or heart rate. Blood pressure and pulse should be measured prior to initiating SNRI therapy and monitored at regular intervals thereafter. Dose reduction or discontinuation of the SNRI should be considered in patients who experience a sustained increase in blood pressure or pulse rate.
