It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.

MONITOR: Coadministration with inducers of CYP450 3A4 may decrease the plasma concentrations and half life of the active metabolite of albendazole, albendazole sulfoxide. The therapeutic efficacy of albendazole in the treatment of systemic helminthic infections, such as neurocysticercosis, may be reduced. This interaction is not clinically significant in the treatment of intestinal infections.

MANAGEMENT: Monitoring for altered clinical efficacy is recommended. Dose adjustments or alternative treatments may be required if an interaction is suspected.
