Alfenta and Vecuronium
Determining the interaction of Alfenta and Vecuronium and the possibility of their joint administration.

Consumer:Using alfentanil together with vecuronium during surgery may increase the risk of cardiovascular side effects such as irregular heart beat or low blood pressure. You will need to be closely monitored by your doctor and/or anesthesiologist to safely use both medications. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
Professional:MONITOR: Alfentanil or fentanyl, when combined with neuromuscular blocking agents during surgical procedures, may adversely affect cardiovascular function. Tachycardia, bradycardia, and/or hypotension may result.
MANAGEMENT: The patient should be monitored closely for altered hemodynamics.
