Alosetron Hydrochloride and BiDil
Determining the interaction of Alosetron Hydrochloride and BiDil and the possibility of their joint administration.
In the database of official manuals used in the service creation an interaction registered by statistical results of studies was found, which can either lead to negative consequences for the patient health or strengthen a mutual positive effect. A doctor should be consulted to address the issue of joint drug administration.
Consumer:Consumer information for this minor interaction is not currently available. Some minor drug interactions may not be clinically relevant in all patients. Minor drug interactions do not usually cause harm or require a change in therapy. However, your healthcare provider can determine if adjustments to your medications are needed.
Professional:Theoretically, coadministration with alosetron may increase the plasma concentrations of drugs that undergo metabolism by N-acetyltransferase such as hydralazine, isoniazid, and procainamide. In an in vivo metabolic probe study, alosetron produced 30% inhibition of N-acetyltransferase. However, concomitant administration of alosetron with substrates of N-acetyltransferase has not been evaluated, and the clinical significance of such an interaction is unknown.
