Alpelisib is used in men and postmenopausal women with HR-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer that is advanced or has spread to other parts of the body (metastatic).

Alpelisib is used only if your cancer has a specific genetic marker (an abnormal "PIK3CA" gene). Your doctor will test you for this gene.

Alpelisib is given in combination with fulvestrant (Faslodex).

Kelnor is a combination birth control pill containing female hormones that prevent ovulation (the release of an egg from an ovary). Kelnor also causes changes in your cervical mucus and uterine lining, making it harder for sperm to reach the uterus and harder for a fertilized egg to attach to the uterus.

Kelnor is used to prevent pregnancy.
