CONTRAINDICATED: Amiodarone may induce iodine overload and hyperthyroidism, resulting in reduced uptake and efficacy of radioactive iodine therapy.

MANAGEMENT: The use of radioactive iodine therapy for the treatment of amiodarone-induced hyperthyroidism is contraindicated by the manufacturer.
