Aprepitant is used together with other medications to prevent nausea and vomiting that may be caused by chemotherapy.

Aprepitant is given ahead of time and will not treat nausea or vomiting that you already have.

Aprepitant capsules are for use in adults and children who are at least 12 years old. Aprepitant oral suspension (liquid) can be given to adults and children as young as 6 months old.

Adjunctive treatment of all forms of parkinsonian syndrome.

May be used as monotherapy for mild to moderate symptoms or in combination with other antiparkinsonian agents for severe symptoms.

Relieves muscle rigidity better than it does tremor; however, tremor, fatigue, weakness, and sluggishness frequently are relieved.

Control of extrapyramidal reactions induced by antipsychotic agents (e.g., phenothiazines).
