Ascorbic acid injection is used to treat scurvy (Vitamin C deficiency) in patients who cannot take the medicine by mouth. It is used for short term treatment (up to 1 week) only.

Denorex Extra Strength (for the skin) is used to treat the skin symptoms of psoriasis, including dryness, redness, flaking, scaling, and itching. Coal tar is not a cure for psoriasis, and it will provide only temporary relief of skin symptoms.
