Asparaginase Erwinia chrysanthemi is used together with other cancer medicines to treat a certain type of blood cancer called acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Asparaginase erwinia chrysanthemi is used in patients who have had an allergic reaction to E. coli-derived asparaginase.

Asparaginase Erwinia chrysanthemi belongs to the group of medicines known as antineoplastic agents. It interferes with the growth of the cancer cells, which are eventually destroyed. Since the growth of normal body cells may also be affected by asparaginase erwinia chrysanthemi, other effects will also occur. Some of these may be serious and must be reported to your doctor.

Before you begin treatment with Erwinaze®, you and your doctor should talk about the benefits of asparaginase erwinia chrysanthemi as well as the risks of using it.

Asparaginase erwinia chrysanthemi is to be given only by or under the immediate supervision of your doctor.

Botox Cosmetic (Botox), is made from the bacteria that causes botulism. Botulinum toxin blocks nerve activity in the muscles.

Botox is used in adults to treat cervical dystonia (severe spasms in the neck muscles), or muscle stiffness in the elbows, wrists, fingers, ankles, or toes. Botox is also used to treat severe underarm sweating (hyperhidrosis).

Botox is also used in adults to treat overactive bladder and incontinence (urine leakage) caused by nerve disorders such as spinal cord injury or multiple sclerosis.

Botox is also used in adults to prevent chronic migraine headaches in adults who have migraines for more than 15 days per month, each lasting 4 hours or longer. Botox should not be used to treat a common tension headache.

Botox is also used to treat certain eye muscle conditions caused by nerve disorders in adults and children who are at least 12 years old. This includes uncontrolled blinking or spasm of the eyelids, and a condition in which the eyes do not point in the same direction.

Botox Cosmetic is used to temporarily lessen the appearance of facial wrinkles in adults.
