MONITOR: According to the product labeling for lesinurad, aspirin at dosages higher than 325 mg/day may reduce the efficacy of lesinurad in combination with allopurinol. The mechanism of interaction has not been described.

MANAGEMENT: The potential for diminished therapeutic effects of lesinurad should be considered when coadministered with aspirin at dosages higher than 325 mg/day. Alternative treatments may be required if an interaction is suspected. Aspirin at dosages of 325 mg/day or less given for cardiovascular protection does not decrease the efficacy of lesinurad based on data from premarketing clinical studies.
