Consumer:Using atropine together with calcium carbonate can decrease the effects of atropine. Calcium carbonate should be separated from oral atropine by 3 to 4 hours. Professional:ADJUST DOSING INTERVAL: Concurrent administration of antacids or adsorbent antidiarrheal agents may decrease the oral bioavailability of atropine.
MANAGEMENT: Doses of antacids or adsorbent antidiarrheals should be separated from oral atropine by 3 to 4 hours.
