GENERALLY AVOID: Concomitant administration of anticholinergic agents would be expected to compromise the beneficial effects of cisapride. Cisapride enhances the release of acetylcholine to produce increased gastrointestinal motility. Anticholinergic agents by blocking this action could delay gastric emptying and worsen esophageal reflux.

MANAGEMENT: This combination should be avoided.
