Avandamet contains a combination of metformin and rosiglitazone, two oral diabetes medicines that help control blood sugar levels.

Avandamet is used together with diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. This medicine is not for treating type 1 diabetes.

Avandamet is not recommended for use with insulin. Taking this medicine while you are using insulin may increase your risk of serious heart problems.

Injectafer (ferric carboxymaltose) is an iron replacement product. You normally get iron from the foods you eat. Iron helps your body produce red blood cells that carry oxygen through your blood to tissues and organs.

Injectafer is used in adults to treat iron deficiency anemia (a lack of red blood cells caused by having too little iron in the body).

Injectafer is usually given after oral (taken by mouth) iron replacement medicines have been tried without success.
