Azathioprine injection is used to prevent rejection of a transplanted kidney. It belongs to the group of medicines known as immunosuppressive agents. Azathioprine will lower the body's natural immunity in patients who receive transplants to prevent rejection of the new kidney. It is also used to relieve joint pain and swelling for patients with rheumatoid arthritis.

Azathioprine is to be given only by or under the immediate supervision of your doctor.

• The use of hydrocodone in children younger than 6 years has led to deadly breathing problems. Talk with the doctor.
• This medicine is not for use in children younger than 18 years of age. The benefits of taking Hycodan (hydrocodone and homatropine syrup) for a cough due to allergies, a cold, or other infection do not outweigh the risks in children.
