Gastrokinetic drugs such as domperidone and metoclopramide increase gastrointestinal motility by blocking peripheral dopamine receptors. Anticholinergic agents could negate this action.

MANAGEMENT: Concomitant use of gastrointestinal prokinetic agents with anticholinergic agents should be avoided, if possible.
