Brompheniramine is an antihistamine that reduces the effects of the natural chemical histamine in the body. Histamine can produce symptoms of sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and runny nose.

Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant. It affects the signals in the brain that trigger cough reflex.

Phenylephrine is a decongestant that shrinks blood vessels in the nasal passages. Dilated blood vessels can cause nasal congestion (stuffy nose).

The combination of brompheniramine, dextromethorphan, and phenylephrine is used to treat runny or stuffy nose, sneezing, itching, watery eyes, cough, and sinus congestion caused by allergies, the common cold, or the flu.

Bromatan-DM will not treat a cough that is caused by smoking, asthma, or emphysema.

Sodium ferric gluconate complex injection is used to treat iron deficiency anemia (not enough iron in the blood). It is used in patients with kidney disease who are receiving dialysis and a medicine called epoetin to prevent anemia. Sodium ferric gluconate complex is an iron replacement product.

Iron is a mineral that the body needs to produce red blood cells. When the body does not get enough iron, the number of red blood cells is lower than normal. This condition is called iron deficiency (iron shortage) or iron deficiency anemia.

Sodium ferric gluconate complex is to be given only by or under the direct supervision of a doctor.
