Salicylates, steroids, anticoagulants, antihistamines, antiparasitics, penicillins, sulfonamides, tolbutamide, thiopental, and nitroprusside should generally be withheld for 1 week. Amiodarone, lithium, and benzodiazepines should be withheld for at least 4 weeks.
