Professional:MONITOR: A case has been reported in which a 10 year old girl experienced a grand mal seizure ten days after her guanfacine dose was increased to 0.5 mg two times daily. The girl was taking bupropion 100 mg three times a day concurrently. The mechanism is unknown and causality has not been definitely determined.
MANAGEMENT: Until more information is available, patients should be monitored for increased seizure activity is recommended if these two drugs are to be administered concurrently.
