Calcium and magnesium are naturally occurring minerals that are necessary for many systems in the body. Calcium and magnesium are sometimes used as antacids to relieve heartburn, acid indigestion, and upset stomach.

Simethicone allows gas bubbles in the stomach and intestines to come together more easily, which allows for easier passage of gas.

Calcium carbonate, magnesium hydroxide, and simethicone is a combination antacid, anti-gas medicine used to treat heartburn, indigestion, gas and bloating, or stomach discomfort caused by overeating.

Calcium carbonate, magnesium hydroxide, and simethicone may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Diacomit (stiripentol) is a prescription medicine used to treat seizures associated with Dravet syndrome. Dravet syndrome is a rare chronic form of epilepsy that begins in the first year of life and causes frequent or prolonged seizures.

Diacomit is used along with clobazam for use in adults and children at least 2 years old.

It is not known if Diacomit is safe and effective in children under 2 years of age.

There is no clinical data to support the use of Diacomit alone to treat Dravet syndrome.
