Fluocinolone is a steroid. It reduces the actions of chemicals in the body that cause inflammation.

Capex (for the skin) is used to treat the inflammation and itching caused by a number of skin conditions such as allergic reactions, eczema, seborrhea, and psoriasis.

Doxepin is a tricyclic antidepressant. When applied to the skin, doxepin topical can help relieve itching but it will not treat symptoms of depression.
