A different class of blood pressure medication should be considered. If your doctor prescribes these medications together, you may need a dose adjustment or special tests to safely use both medications. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
Professional:GENERALLY AVOID: Cyclosporine may cause hyperkalemia. The concurrent use of potassium-sparing diuretics and cyclosporine may result in or exacerbate hyperkalemia.
MANAGEMENT: The concomitant use of potassium-sparing diuretics and cyclosporine should be avoided. A different class of antihypertensive should be considered.
