Cimetidine Tablets and Ticlid

Using cimetidine together with ticlopidine may increase the effects of ticlopidine. Contact your doctor if your condition changes or if you experience vomiting, difficulty breathing, blood in the vomit or stool, seizures, and loss of coordination. If your doctor does prescribe these medications together, you may need a dose adjustment or special test to safely use both medications. MONITOR: Cimetidine may reduce the clearance of ticlopidine by up to 50%. The mechanism has not been established. The clinical relevance of this interaction is unknown.
