Secobarbital may reduce the blood levels of duvelisib in some patients, which may make the medication less effective. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns. Your doctor may be able to prescribe alternatives that do not interact, or you may need a dose adjustment or more frequent monitoring to safely use both medications. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.

MONITOR: Coadministration with inducers of CYP450 3A4 may decrease the plasma concentrations of duvelisib, which is primarily metabolized by the isoenzyme. When a single 25 mg oral dose of duvelisib was coadministered with the potent CYP450 3A4 inducer rifampin (600 mg once daily for 7 days) in 13 healthy study subjects, duvelisib peak plasma concentration (Cmax) and systemic exposure (AUC) decreased by 66% and 82%, respectively. The interaction has not been studied with other, less potent inducers.

MANAGEMENT: The potential for diminished pharmacologic effects of duvelisib should be considered during coadministration with CYP450 3A4 inducers. Alternative treatments may be required if an interaction is suspected.
