MONITOR: Amiodarone may increase the pharmacologic effects of isoflurane because of the adrenergic blocking effects of amiodarone. Data have been conflicting; however, the risk of intraoperative complications such as arrhythmias, heart block, or pacemaker dependency may be increased.
