Produces mydriasis and cycloplegia for refraction (e.g., retina and optic disc examination, measurement of refractive error).

Cyclopentolate may be preferred over atropine because of shorter duration of mydriasis and cycloplegia when used for opthalmologic examination.

Fixed-combination preparation containing cyclopentolate hydrochloride 0.2% and phenylephrine hydrochloride 1% is used to produce pronounced mydriasis with little accompanying cycloplegia for ophthalmologic examination (e.g., patients with retinal detachment; dilation for screening for retinopathy of prematurity).

Xultophy is an injection pen containing a combination of insulin degludec and liraglutide. Insulin is a hormone that works by lowering levels of glucose (sugar) in the blood. Insulin degludec is a long-acting insulin that starts to work several hours after injection and keeps working evenly for 24 hours. Liraglutide is similar to a hormone that occurs naturally in the body and helps control blood sugar, insulin levels, and digestion.

Xultophy is used to lower blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. This medicine should be used together with diet and exercise.

Xultophy is usually given when your blood sugar levels have not been well controlled by using other medications.

Xultophy is not for people with type 1 diabetes.
