Citric acid and sodium citrate are alkalinizing agents that make the urine less acidic.

Potassium is a mineral that is found in many foods and is needed for several functions of your body, especially the beating of your heart.

The combination of citric acid, potassium citrate, and sodium citrate is used to prevent gout or kidney stones, or metabolic acidosis in people with kidney problems.

Eculizumab is a monoclonal antibody. Eculizumab binds to proteins in the blood that can destroy red blood cells in people with genetic conditions that affect the natural defenses of red blood cells.

Eculizumab is used to prevent the breakdown of red blood cells in adults with paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH).

Eculizumab is also used to treat a rare chronic blood disease called atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome (aHUS) in adults and children who weigh at least 11 pounds (5 kilograms).

Eculizumab is also used to treat myasthenia gravis in adults.

Eculizumab is also used to treat neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) in adults.
