Daytrana is a skin patch that contains methylphenidate, a central nervous system stimulant. Methylphenidate affects chemicals in the brain and nerves that contribute to hyperactivity and impulse control.

Daytrana patches are used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) .

Diacomit (stiripentol) is a prescription medicine used to treat seizures associated with Dravet syndrome. Dravet syndrome is a rare chronic form of epilepsy that begins in the first year of life and causes frequent or prolonged seizures.

Diacomit is used along with clobazam for use in adults and children at least 2 years old.

It is not known if Diacomit is safe and effective in children under 2 years of age.

There is no clinical data to support the use of Diacomit alone to treat Dravet syndrome.
