Treatment of HIV-1 infection in adults; usually used in conjunction with 2 HIV nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs).

Experts state delavirdine not recommended for initial treatment regimens in antiretroviral-naive adults because of inferior virologic efficacy and inconvenient dosing regimen.

Data insufficient comparing delavirdine regimens to the preferred 3-drug regimens for initial treatment in antiretroviral-naive adults; consider that the proportion of clinical study patients responding to regimen of delavirdine and 2 NRTIs with sustained plasma HIV-1 levels <400 copies/mL over 1 year has been relatively low.

Zinecard is used to protect the heart and other tissues from harmful side effects caused by certain cancer medications.

The Totect brand of dexrazoxane is used in men or women to treat a condition called extravasation (es-TRA-va-ZAY-shun). Extravasation happens when an injected medicine escapes from the blood vessels and circulates into tissues in the body. Serious tissue damage can occur when extravasation happens during injection of certain cancer medications.

The Zinecard brand of dexrazoxane is used to help prevent chemotherapy-related heart problems in women who are receiving doxorubicin for metastatic breast cancer. Zinecard is given only after you have received enough doxorubicin infusions to amount to a certain total dose.
