Determining the interaction of Dexmedetomidine hydrochloride Injection, Concentrate and Tamsulosin Hydrochloride and the possibility of their joint administration.

Consumer:Dexmedetomidine can lower blood pressure and slow the heart rate, and combining it with tamsulosin may add to these effects. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns. You may need a dose adjustment or more frequent monitoring by your doctor to safely use both medications. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
Professional:MONITOR: Dexmedetomidine has been associated with hypotensive and negative chronotropic effects. Coadministration with other agents causing these effects, especially vasodilators and alpha-2 agonists, may result in additive effects on blood pressure and heart rate. Data have been conflicting. Additive pharmacodynamic effects were not observed in some clinical studies.
MANAGEMENT: Caution and monitoring of the patient's hemodynamic status are recommended during coadministration.
