Coadministration with fluconazole may slightly increase the plasma concentrations of rosuvastatin. The mechanism of interaction has not been described. According to the product labeling for rosuvastatin, fluconazole (200 mg once a day for 11 days) increased the area under the plasma concentration-time curve (AUC) of an 80 mg dose of rosuvastatin by 14%. This increase is not considered clinically significant.
