Diltiazem 12-Hour Sustained-Release Capsules and Prucalopride Succinate
Determining the interaction of Diltiazem 12-Hour Sustained-Release Capsules and Prucalopride Succinate and the possibility of their joint administration.
In the database of official manuals used in the service creation an interaction registered by statistical results of studies was found, which can either lead to negative consequences for the patient health or strengthen a mutual positive effect. A doctor should be consulted to address the issue of joint drug administration.
Consumer:Consumer information for this minor interaction is not currently available. Some minor drug interactions may not be clinically relevant in all patients. Minor drug interactions do not usually cause harm or require a change in therapy. However, your healthcare provider can determine if adjustments to your medications are needed.
Professional:Coadministration with inhibitors of P-glycoprotein (P-gp) may increase the plasma concentrations of prucalopride, which is thought to be a weak substrate of the efflux transporter. When given with the potent CYP450 3A4 and P-gp inhibitor, ketoconazole (200 mg twice daily), prucalopride peak plasma concentration (Cmax) and systemic exposure (AUC) increased by approximately 40%. This effect is unlikely to be clinically significant.
