Epiject Iv and Fluoxetine Hydrochloride
Determining the interaction of Epiject Iv and Fluoxetine Hydrochloride and the possibility of their joint administration.
In the database of official manuals used in the service creation an interaction registered by statistical results of studies was found, which can either lead to negative consequences for the patient health or strengthen a mutual positive effect. A doctor should be consulted to address the issue of joint drug administration.
Consumer:Consumer information for this minor interaction is not currently available. Some minor drug interactions may not be clinically relevant in all patients. Minor drug interactions do not usually cause harm or require a change in therapy. However, your healthcare provider can determine if adjustments to your medications are needed.
Professional:Individual case reports suggest that fluoxetine may increase valproate levels, perhaps by inhibiting the hepatic metabolism of valproate. Another study of two patients suggests that valproate may enhance the therapeutic effects of fluoxetine. The mechanism is unknown. Patients should be monitored for altered pharmacologic effects and increased valproic acid levels if these drugs are administered concomitantly.
