Relevance: 23.07.2022 Reviewer: Shkutko P.M., M.D., in

In the database of official manuals used in the service creation an interaction registered by statistical results of studies was found, which can either lead to negative consequences for the patient health or strengthen a mutual positive effect. A doctor should be consulted to address the issue of joint drug administration.

Consumer:

CarBAMazepine may reduce the blood levels of ivosidenib, which may make the medication less effective in treating your condition. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns. Your doctor may be able to prescribe alternatives that do not interact. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.

Professional:

GENERALLY AVOID: Coadministration with potent inducers of CYP450 3A4 may decrease the plasma concentrations of ivosidenib, which is primarily metabolized by the isoenzyme. Based on physiologically-based pharmacokinetic modeling, coadministration of ivosidenib with the potent CYP450 3A4 inducer rifampin (600 mg once daily for 15 days) is predicted to decrease ivosidenib steady-state systemic exposure (AUC) by 33%. Reduced therapeutic efficacy may occur.

MANAGEMENT: Concomitant use of ivosidenib with potent CYP450 3A4 inducers should generally be avoided.
