Consumer:Nicotine may increase the effects of ergotamine in narrowing the blood vessels and decreasing blood flow. Professional:MONITOR: Nicotine may cause vasoconstriction in some patients and potentiate the ischemic response to ergot alkaloids. The clinical significance is unknown.
