Ery-Tab and Pegloticase Intravenous

Ery-Tab is a delayed release tablet containing either 250 mg, 333 mg, or 500 mg of erythromycin as the free base. Erythromycin belongs to a group of drugs called macrolide antibiotics. Macrolide antibiotics slow the growth of, or sometimes kill, sensitive bacteria by reducing the production of important proteins needed by the bacteria to survive.

Ery-Tab is used to treat or prevent many different types of infections caused by bacteria.

Pegloticase injection is used to treat chronic gout in adult patients who have already been treated with other medicines that did not work well. Gout is a condition that is caused by too much uric acid in the blood (hyperuricemia).

Pegloticase injection works by causing less uric acid to be produced by the body. Pegloticase will not relieve a gout attack that has already started.

Pegloticase is to be given only by or under the direct supervision of your doctor.
