Consumer:Ask your doctor before using fludarabine and pentostatin, this can cause an increased risk of lung toxicity. You may need a dose adjustment or special test if you take both medications. Professional:GENERALLY AVOID: The concomitant administration of fludarabine and pentostatin may increase the risk of potentially fatal pulmonary toxicity (interstitial pneumonitis). The mechanism is unknown but may be related to additive pulmonary toxicity.
MANAGEMENT: Concurrent use should be avoided.
