Symptomatic management of psychotic disorders (i.e., schizophrenia).

The long-acting decanoate ester is used mainly for maintenance therapy in patients with chronic schizophrenic disorder who cannot be relied on to take oral antipsychotic drugs; do not use for acute management of severely agitated patients.

Efficacy not established for management of behavioral complications in mental retardation.

PosiFlush is an anticoagulant (blood thinner) that prevents the formation of blood clots.

PosiFlush is used to flush (clean out) an intravenous (IV) catheter, which helps prevent blockage in the tube after you have received an IV infusion.
