Symptomatic management of psychotic disorders (i.e., schizophrenia).

The long-acting decanoate ester is used mainly for maintenance therapy in patients with chronic schizophrenic disorder who cannot be relied on to take oral antipsychotic drugs; do not use for acute management of severely agitated patients.

Efficacy not established for management of behavioral complications in mental retardation.

Vusion ointment contains a combination of miconazole and zinc oxide. Miconazole is an antifungal medicine that fights infections caused by fungus. Zinc oxide is a mineral that acts as a skin protectant.

Vusion ointment is used to treat diaper rash with yeast infection (candidiasis) in children and babies who are at least 4 weeks old. It is for use only on diaper rash that has been diagnosed by a doctor.

Vusion Ointment should not be used to prevent diaper rash in either children or incontinent adults.
