Fluvoxamine is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant. Fluvoxamine affects chemicals in the brain that may be unbalanced in people with obsessive-compulsive symptoms.

Fluvoxamine is used to treat social anxiety disorder (social phobia), or obsessive-compulsive disorders involving recurring thoughts or actions.

Prilosec OTC is a proton pump inhibitor that decreases the amount of acid produced in the stomach.

Prilosec OTC is used to treat symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and other conditions caused by excess stomach acid. This medicine is also used to promote healing of erosive esophagitis (damage to your esophagus caused by stomach acid).

Prilosec OTC may also be given together with antibiotics to treat gastric ulcer caused by infection with Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori).
