Professional:GENERALLY AVOID: Alendronate may reduce the therapeutic effects of parathyroid hormone. Coadministration of alendronate and parathyroid hormone leads to reduction in the calcium-sparing effect, which can interfere with the normalization of serum calcium.
MANAGEMENT: Concomitant use of parathyroid hormone with alendronate is not recommended.
