Coadministration with lisdexamfetamine appears to have modest effects on the pharmacokinetics of guanfacine. In a drug interaction study consisting of 40 subjects, administration of an extended-release 4 mg dose of guanfacine in combination with lisdexamfetamine 50 mg resulted in a 19% increase in guanfacine peak plasma concentration (Cmax) and 7% increase in systemic exposure (AUC) compared to administration of guanfacine alone. These changes are not expected to be clinically important. Guanfacine had no effect on d-amphetamine systemic exposure in the study.
