Hycodan Oral Solution and Pembrolizumab

Hydrocodone and homatropine combination is used to relieve cough in adults and children 6 years of age and older. Hydrocodone is a narcotic antitussive (cough suppressant). It acts directly on the cough center in the brain to relieve cough.

When hydrocodone is used for a long time, it may become habit-forming, causing mental or physical dependence. However, people who have continuing cough and nasal congestion should not let the fear of dependence keep them from using narcotics to relieve their cough. Mental dependence (addiction) is not likely to occur when narcotics are used for this purpose. Physical dependence may lead to withdrawal side effects if treatment is stopped suddenly. However, severe withdrawal side effects can usually be prevented by gradually reducing the dose over a period of time before treatment is stopped completely.

Pembrolizumab is a cancer medicine that is used alone or in combination with other medicines to treat certain types of cancer such as:

• skin cancer (melanoma or Merkel cell carcinoma);

• lung cancer;

• head and neck cancer;

• classical Hodgkin lymphoma;

• primary mediastinal large B-cell lymphoma;

• cancer of the kidney, bladder, and urinary tract;

• liver cancer;

• cancer of the cervix or uterus;

• advanced stomach or esophageal cancer; or

• a type of cancer that laboratory testing proves to have certain specific DNA mutations, including colorectal cancer.

Pembrolizumab is often given when the cancer has spread to other parts of the body or cannot be surgically removed, or when other cancer treatments did not work or have stopped working.

For some types of cancer, pembrolizumab is given only if your tumor tests positive for "PD-L1", or if the tumor has a specific genetic marker (an abnormal "EGFR," "ALK," or "HER2/neu" gene).
