Hydralazine is a vasodilator that works by relaxing the muscles in your blood vessels to help them dilate (widen). This lowers blood pressure and allows blood to flow more easily through your veins and arteries.

Hydralazine is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension).

Nplate (romiplostim) is a man-made form of a protein that increases production of platelets (blood-clotting cells) in your body.

Nplate is used to prevent bleeding episodes in people with chronic immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP), a bleeding condition caused by a lack of platelets in the blood.

Nplate is for use in adults and children who are at least 1 year old.

Nplate is not a cure for ITP and it will not make your platelet counts normal if you have this condition. It is usually given after other treatments have failed.
