Consumer:Ask your doctor before using azaTHIOprine together with mycophenolic acid. Using azaTHIOprine with mycophenolic acid can add to the side effects of either medication. Call your doctor at once if you have fever, chills, sore throat, body aches, weakness, muscle pain, easy bruising or bleeding, mouth sores, pale stools, darkened urine, or severe nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. If you take both medications together, tell your doctor if you have any of these symptoms. You may need a dose adjustment or your blood pressure checked more often if you take both medications.
