Invokana (canagliflozin) is an oral diabetes medicine that helps control blood sugar levels. Canagliflozin works by helping the kidneys get rid of glucose from your bloodstream.

Invokana is used together with diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Invokana is used to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events (including heart attack, stroke or death) in adults with type 2 diabetes and established cardiovascular disease.

Invokana is also used to reduce the risk of end stage kidney disease (ESKD), worsening of kidney function, cardiovascular death, and hospitalization for heart failure in adults with type 2 diabetes and diabetic kidney disease.

Invokana is not for treating type 1 diabetes.

Lortab contains a combination of acetaminophen and hydrocodone. Hydrocodone is an opioid pain medication. An opioid is sometimes called a narcotic. Acetaminophen, also called Tylenol, is a less potent pain reliever that increases the effects of hydrocodone.

Lortab is used to relieve moderate to severe pain.
