Invokana (canagliflozin) is an oral diabetes medicine that helps control blood sugar levels. Canagliflozin works by helping the kidneys get rid of glucose from your bloodstream.

Invokana is used together with diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Invokana is used to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events (including heart attack, stroke or death) in adults with type 2 diabetes and established cardiovascular disease.

Invokana is also used to reduce the risk of end stage kidney disease (ESKD), worsening of kidney function, cardiovascular death, and hospitalization for heart failure in adults with type 2 diabetes and diabetic kidney disease.

Invokana is not for treating type 1 diabetes.

• The use of hydrocodone in children younger than 6 years has led to deadly breathing problems. Talk with the doctor.
• This medicine is not for use in children younger than 18 years of age. The benefits of taking Vituz (hydrocodone and chlorpheniramine oral solution) for a cough due to allergies, a cold, or other infection do not outweigh the risks in children. If your child has been given Vituz (hydrocodone and chlorpheniramine oral solution) or if you have any questions, talk with your child's doctor.
