Potassium is a mineral that is found naturally in foods and is necessary for many normal functions of your body, especially the beating of your heart.

K-vescent is used to prevent or to treat a potassium deficiency (hypokalemia).

K-vescent may also be used for other purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Tetracyclines are used to treat infections and to help control acne. Demeclocycline, doxycycline, and minocycline also may be used for other problems as determined by your doctor. Tetracyclines will not work for colds, flu, or other virus infections.
